On this West Virginia Morning, recently, News Director Eric Douglas saw a presentation as part of the Higher Education Policy Commission’s STAR lecture series with Professor Ali Al-Sinayyid. He’s an Assistant Professor and director of the West Virginia State University Cybersecurity Innovation Center.

Last week, we aired the first part of Douglas’ interview with Professor Ali about what is AI. In the second part of that interview, Al-Sinayyid discusses the best way to use AI to get what you want – while avoiding fabricated or false answers that seem real.

Also, volunteer firefighters are being asked to complete a survey to help implement real improvements for departments across the state.

And, recent cuts to the Affordable Care Act’s premium tax credits have caused more than 10% fewer West Virginians to apply for healthcare coverage. Next Saturday, West Virginia Health Right will host its third annual #WeCareWV Day, a free walk-in medical, dental and vision clinic for anyone in need.

Finally, unhoused people and those experiencing mental illness and substance use disorders in the Huntington area may soon find an increase in services to help.
