On this West Virginia Week, despite a government shutdown and the closure of national parks across the country, parks in West Virginia are staying open – for now. Also, a new book looks at the last public hanging in America. And, they’re out ...
Our Song of the Week comes from singer-songwriter and guitarist Joy Clark. “Tell It To The Wind” was written in a moment of gratitude while Joy was on tour in Waterford, Mississippi at Foxfire Ranch. In this moment, she realized she had everything she dreamed of as a child. On her Band Camp page, Joy writes “I had my guitar, my boots, and horses! My heart was filled with gratitude and instantly I had an entire chorus.”
Tune in to one of these affiliate stations starting Friday, March 14 to hear Joy’s full set, plus live performances by country singer and songwriter Kip Moore, Old Dominion guitarist and hit songwriter Brad Tursi, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Andrew Marlin of Watchhouse and Mighty Poplar brings the Andrew Marlin Stringband, and West Virginia “Ya’llternative” rock band Matt Mullins & The Bringdowns.
