She draws on classic Appalachian phrases her family has used for years. Also, people who live near Indian Creek in southern West Virginia say something is wrong with the water. Appalachian Author Wins A Pulitzer On This West Virginia Morning

On this West Virginia Morning, Kentucky author Barbara Kingsolver won a 2023 Pulitzer Prize in Fiction for her newest novel Demon Copperhead.
