America's Awesome Kids
West Virginia’s children ages 8-10 have the opportunity to “tell their stories” as part of the America’s Awesome Kids project. A partnership between WVPB and WGBH in Boston.
This week, the federal government has taken back millions of dollars set aside for public radio stations. Allegheny Mountain Radio is among those fighting to stay on the air. Also, a book by a West Virginia artist illustrates the tiny worlds of mountain critters, like a lizard that changes color. And, geocaching gets folks outside to play detective and find hidden treasures.

Be My Neighbor Day is a free outdoor event that promotes being a caring neighbor. West Virginia Public Broadcasting is partnering with local organizations to bring the community together to support others and share resources for families and children.

Join Stephanie Legg for Kids Yoga, a fun and calming yoga practice for kids of all ages! Stephanie, E-RYT 500 yoga teacher, is the development director and therapist at ChildLaw Services, who is sponsoring Kids Yoga. She is the founder of Elevate Integrative Wellness Program found is schools throughout West Virginia that teaches kids how to regulate emotions, calm their nervous systems, respond to challenges appropriately, and to be present in the moment.
