Poetry Contest Announced For Fourth Of July
Gov. Patrick Morrisey announced Wednesday the America250 Poetry Contest, inviting West Virginians of all ages to submit original poems.

Patrick Morrisey. There have been eight coal mine fatalities nationwide this year, according to MSHA. Six took place in West Virginia. Three of those deaths have occurred in the past six weeks.
