On this West Virginia Week, we spend some time in the Eastern Panhandle and learn about a new Battlefield Park, hear from a Harpers Ferry author and explore the unknown future of the John Brown Wax Museum. We also travel to Morgantown to experience a Silent Book Club, and then south to Logan County to check out the hopes riding on the inaugural Governor’s School for Tourism.

Berkeley Medical To Resume Full Operations Next Month After ‘Man-Made’ Flooding Accident

After severe flooding in late May, Berkeley Medical Center will reopen its operating rooms in early July. The facility will also receive two new mobile operating rooms to ease the transition.

Harpers Ferry Rail Bridge Catches Fire, Temporarily Suspending Service

A bridge that transports CSX trains into Harpers Ferry caught fire Monday afternoon. Rail services were temporarily suspended, but were restored by noon Tuesday.
