The West Virginia Supreme Court says Sidebottom’s retirement is effective Oct. 31.
Mingo County Circuit Court Judge Miki J. Thompson appointed Brock Mounts on Friday to replace Sidebottom. He will serve the remainder of Sidebottom’s term, which ends on Dec. 31, 2016.
Mounts currently is a legal assistant at a private law firm in Gilbert.
