It’s always a special occasion when Ray Wylie Hubbard returns to Mountain Stage. He grew up in the same Texas town as host Larry Groce, and the two have remained friends for 50 years. Hubbard performed a rare Mountain Stage encore at Larry’s request – his signature tune, “Snake Farm.”

Our Song of the Week comes from Ray Benson. During his tenth visit to the show, he performed "Faded Love," a Bob Wills tune often covered by Benson's longtime band, Asleep at the Wheel, who have been creating music together for over 50 years.
