As of Monday morning, a forest fire in Pendleton County is 75% contained according to the USDA Forest Service.

The Woodside Fire started Nov. 5 on private property in Pendleton County before spreading to 70 acres in the Monongahela National Forest.

In a press release the Forest Service said 80 personnel worked the incident over the weekend to remove standing dead trees, extinguishing hotspots and patrolling to ensure existing lines continue to hold.

It is expected the fire management team responsible for the Woodside Fire will transfer command of the fire back to the local Forest Service and Division of Forestry offices Tuesday.
