Flags Ordered To Half-Staff For Angelucci

Gov. Patrick Morrisey ordered flags to be flown at half-staff at the West Virginia Capitol Complex and all government buildings in Marion County on Monday, Jan. 27, 2025, to honor the life and service of former Del. Michael J. Angelucci II, D-Marion.

Angelucci graduated from North Marion High School where he represented his class as Senior Class President, National Honor Society President, and Husky Hero of the Year. Angelucci began working for Marion County Rescue Squad shortly after graduating from Fairmont State Pierpont and Technical College. He holds the title as the youngest licensed Paramedic in West Virginia. Angelucci served the residents of Marion County for nearly 25 years, during which he served as administrator for 15 years.

In 2018, Angelucci was elected to the West Virginia House of Delegates for one term. In 2020, he was awarded the title of Marion County Public Servant of the Year. Angelucci was deeply involved in the United Way of Marion County and formerly served as the fundraising chairman.
