This week, for 15 years, a Virginia library has been hosting a weekly Dungeons & Dragons game night for teens. It can get a little wacky. Also, we remember renowned Tennessee luthier, Jean Horner, whose fiddles were played at Carnegie Hall and the Grand Ole Opry. And, a Hare Krishna community in West Virginia serves vegetarian food made in three sacred kitchens.
Join West Virginia Public Broadcasting at West Virginia State University’s campus for a special preview of the new PBS docuseries GOSPEL. Our event, GOSPEL Preview & Panel Discussion, explores the rich history of Black spirituality through sermon and song with executive producer, host, and writer Prof. Henry Louis Gates, Jr.
Following the preview, we’ll have a panel discussion and a special performance by the Martin Luther King Jr. Male Chorus.
Refreshments will be served. This event is free and open to the public. No RSVP necessary.
