Emmylou Harris at the Ryman

Saturday, Aug 5 at 7 p.m.

Celebrate 125 years of live entertainment at the Ryman with Harris and her acoustic band the Nash Ramblers in a re-creation of their mesmerizing 1991 concert, which helped spearhead efforts to refurbish the century-old home of the Grand Ole Opry. Concert ticket opportunities will be announced during the broadcast.

Joe Bonamassa: Live at Carnegie Hall

Saturday, August 5 at 8:30 p.m.

On January 21 and 22 2016 world-renowned platinum-selling and Grammy-nominated blues-rock, singer-songwriter and guitarist Joe Bonamassa performed two unique all-acoustic shows at the iconic Carnegie Hall in New York City. Both performances were filmed and made into “Joe Bonamassa Live At Carnegie Hall – An Acoustic Evening”.  It was an evening of extraordinary music with new arrangements of favorite songs as well as brand new, never-before-heard songs.

A Joe Bonomassa-signed guitar will be auctioned during the broadcast!

Forging Ahead

Monday, Aug 7 at 8 p.m.

Examine the history of the Grave Creek Mound with a team of archaeologists as they use traditional and modern technology to discover its secrets; explore the rich history and present day activities related to Camp Washington Carver; and examine the history of West Virginia Statehood and the importance of Wheeling’s Independence Hall, and learn how this building is being used today.  

Texas Tenors: Rise 

Sunday, Aug 13 at 8 p.m.

Join America’s favorite tenors for an all-new concert filmed at Galveston’s Grand 1894 Opera House. Highlights include a show-stopping tribute to Les Misérables, selections from Phantom of the Opera, and classic rock, pop and country favorites.

Tokens Show: Dayton

Saturday, Aug 19 at 8 p.m.

This program explores the hype and hysteria surrounding the famed “Scopes Monkey Trial” that took place in Dayton, Tennessee in 1925.

Endeavour Season 4 Premiere

Sunday, Aug 20 at 9 p.m. 

It’s the summer of 1967, and the effects of the Cold War and sixties counterculture are being felt in Oxford. It has barely been two weeks since the events depicted in the season three finale, and we find Oxford’s finest picking up the pieces of their personal and professional lives. Endeavour waits to hear the result of his Sergeant’s Exam, and self-medicates to numb his heartache over Joan, but whisky and Tännhauser will only get a man so far. Meanwhile, Thursday and Win deal with their own sense of grief. Their home is empty, Sam gone to the Army and Joan…who knows where?

Smithville Fiddler’s Jamboree 

Saturday, Aug 26 at 8 p.m. 

The old-time Smithville Fiddlers’ Jamboree and Crafts Festival is a DeKalb County tradition that draws musicians, craft artists, and spectators to the Smithville Square each summer around the Independance Day weekend. The original idea for the country music festival came from Congressman Joe L. Evins and soon after, the festival became a broader tribute to Appalachian art and culture.
