More than 155,000 registered businesses are required by state law to file an annual report with the Secretary of State’s Office by 11:59 p.m. on June 30.

As part of that filing, businesses must update key information including their office address, the names and mailing addresses of their owners or management and the name and address of the person designated to receive service of process.

The secretary’s office estimated Monday that more than 60,000 businesses have yet to file their annual report.

“Failure to file on or before June 30 will subject your business to late fees, put your business at risk of administrative dissolution, and adversely affect your banking or other legal agreements,” Secretary Kris Warner said in a video statement released Monday.

Annual reports can be submitted online via the state’s One Stop Business Portal, and no login is required to file as a guest. Applicants can also call the One Stop Business Center at 304-558-8000 with questions or for assistance.

The fee to file is just $25, and business owners have from January 1, 2025, to June 30, 2025, to complete the filing.
