Mountain Stage with Larry Groce will begin it’s 35th season of live performance radio This Sunday, January 14 at the WVU Creative Arts Center in Morgantown, WV. Larry will welcome John Oates, of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame duo Hall and Oates, with songs from his upcoming roots release “Arkansas.” Audience members will also be treated to a performance from Tyminski, the latest modern-country effort from long time Allison Krauss & Union Station vocalist and guitarist Dan Tyminski. His album “Southern Gothic” is out now.
Also on the bill are Nashville based Alt-Americana songwriter Lilly Hiatt, whose latest, “Trinity Lane,” landed on several “Best of” year-end lists, and banjo wild-man Danny Barnes will be there to help you reimagine the possibilities of the instrument. Finally, we’ll be treated to a tale from WV Storyteller and Liars Contest champion Bil Lepp.
