Michael B. ?Mickey? Browning is the Democratic candidate for West Virginia House of Delegates District 33. Browning is from Holden in Logan County. He entered the 2026 election as one of two Democratic candidates seeking the party’s nomination for the seat. He defeated Brittany Feury in the May Democratic primary, receiving about 60% of the vote. Browning is running for a district that includes communities in Logan County. The race became an open-seat contest after Republican incumbent Jordan Bridges lost the Republican primary to Chris Tipton. That means Browning will face Tipton and independent candidate Leroy DeHart in the November general election. Publicly available information about Browning’s professional background and detailed policy platform is less available than for some other candidates in the race (Can’t find a headshot). Browning’s primary victory gives Democrats a nominee in a district that has historically leaned Republican. The general election will determine who succeeds Bridges in District 33.
