Lucia Valentine is a West Virginia native, advocate, and public policy professional. She is serving as a legislative advocate for the West Virginia Environmental Council, she works with Conserve West Virginia on public lands and water protection. She earned her bachelors from Shepherd University in 2019 she serves as the Managing Director for the West Virginia Women’s Alliance and works as a Legislative Advocate for the West Virginia Environmental Council at just 29 years old. Her public policy efforts have focused on community efforts and a strong focus on water quality throughout the state. She also holds an emphasis on maintaining West Virginians, especially younger people, to stay in the state. Her campaign is focused on school funding, wage adjustments, preservation of farmland, and affordability. She has also received endorsements from West Virginia AFL-CIO, the United Mine Workers of America (UMWA), the IUPAT, and the WV Building and Construction Trades.
