Jonathan Kyle is the Republican incumbent representing West Virginia House of Delegates District 66, which covers northern Pocahontas County and Randolph County. He was born in Elkins in 1982. Delegate Kyle earned a bachelor?s degree in accounting from Marshall University. He works as a real estate investor and founded Mountaineer Insurance Services in 2006, where he serves as president. He has also served on the Elkins Randolph County Chamber of Commerce board. Delegate Kyle was elected to the House in 2024 with 70.3% of the vote and began his term on December 1, 2024. He is seeking reelection against Democratic nominee Danielle Marie Dougherty. In the Legislature, Kyle serves on committees covering commerce, government administration, government organization and local government. He also chairs the interim Rule Making Review Committee. Delegate Kyle was the lead sponsor of 10 bills during the 2026 regular session. Two became law: the Portable Benefit Account Act and legislation concerning underground facility damage prevention.
