Henry Corby Dillon is the Republican incumbent running for another term in the West Virginia House of Delegates. He represents District 29, which includes Mingo and Wayne counties, and lives in Fort Gay. Dillon was first elected to the House in 2022 and has continued to represent the district since then. He works in education in the Mingo County school system and has an academic background in English, secondary education, and leadership. He earned his bachelor?s degree from Marshall University, a master?s degree in secondary education, and a doctorate in leadership. Dillon has focused much of his political work on issues affecting southern West Virginia communities, including employment, education, transportation and economic development. In a 2024 interview with Mountain State Spotlight, Dillon discussed the need to attract businesses while also supporting family-owned businesses in the region. He also pointed to forestry, agriculture, and energy as industries with potential for economic growth. Dillon won the Republican nomination in the 2026 primary and will face Democratic challenger Wendy Coleman in the November general election.
