Crystal Butcher is a Mineral Wells resident, mother, wife and nonprofit executive director running for West Virginia House District 14. Professionally, she serves as the executive director of a nonprofit organization that supports people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Butcher competed in a three-way Democratic primary against Jim Marion and Jonathan White. In Wood County, she received 281 votes, or 45.99%, ahead of Marion’s 251 and White’s 79. Because District 14 also includes part of Wirt County, those Wood County totals are not the complete districtwide primary totals.
She advanced to the November general election and is challenging incumbent Republican Delegate Dave Foggin.
