Christopher J. Tipton

Christopher ?Chris? Tipton is the Republican candidate for West Virginia House of Delegates District 33. Tipton is a lifelong southern West Virginian and a health care provider. He currently works as a physician assistant providing family medicine services through Southern West Virginia Health System’s Man Clinic. Tipton has spent more than three decades working in emergency and community service. According to his campaign, he began his work with the Logan Emergency Ambulance Service Authority as an emergency medical technician and later became a paramedic. He currently serves on LEASA’s board of directors. He has also been involved with the Buffalo Creek Volunteer Fire Department, where he served as a firefighter and now serves on its board. Tipton won the Republican nomination in May 2026 by defeating incumbent Delegate Jordan Bridges. Tipton received 610 votes compared with Bridges’ 557. His campaign emphasizes protecting coal and energy jobs, strengthening rural health care, supporting first responders and expanding opportunities for children in southern West Virginia.
