Chris Clagett is a Veteran serving in the U.S. Navy for nine years. He served as the Preventive Medicine Officer and Department Head in Sigonella, Italy, as well as the Regional Consultant for CENTCOM and AFRICOM and as the co-developer for deployed unit syndromic surveillance system for Operation Iraqi Freedom. His campaign centers heavily on small business growth in district 91 as well as policies against ?Cultural Marxism.? He also pushes for smaller governmental roles in day-to-day life and the reduction and eventual elimination of property tax in district 91. He wants to reduce Berkeley county lobbying funded by taxpayers and eliminate what is commonly referred to as the ?Rain Tax? in Berkeley county. Clagett?s previous medicinal militarial experience highlights an importance on healthcare but his campaign remains quiet on efforts to help district 91 residents with healthcare issues. He is set to face David Michaels this election to fill Ian Master?s seat who was appointed by Governor Morrisey.
