Zachary Abbott is the Democratic nominee for West Virginia Senate District 4. He is from Scott Depot and won the Democratic nomination without opposition in the May 2026 primary.
Abbott is running for the Senate seat currently held by Republican Eric Tarr. District 4 includes Mason County and parts of Cabell, Jackson and Putnam counties.
There is not as much publicly available information about Abbott compared to the incumbent, so a feature could give viewers a chance to learn more about his background, why he decided to run and what issues he wants to focus on if elected.
Abbott is running against Tarr and Libertarian candidate Stephanie Butcher in the November 3 general election.
