Multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter Darrell Scott, who has toured as a member of Robert Plant’s group and with the Zac Brown Band, will perform along with the Mountain Stage Band. Scott, who was originally scheduled to join us in March, released Darrell Scott Sings the Blues of Hank Williams, in April on his own Full Light Records. His second album this year, Jaroso, released in October, is a live album recorded in the Colorado town near the New Mexico border that the record is named after. Scott also produced and played on the latest Hayes Carll release, Alone Together Sessions, released in September.

Country music star and two-time Grammy winner Kathy Mattea has been a frequent guest-host of “Mountain Stage” in the last few years, but she joins us this time to perform a set of her own. Mattea has remained busy this year, presenting at the recent 53rd CMA Awards, doing various virtual performances, and learning guitar parts to her own songs following the recent retirement of her long-time guitarist Bill Cooley. The female performer with the most appearances on “Mountain Stage,” Mattea will bring her new backing trio this time to help the program celebrate our 37th anniversary.

One of West Virginia’s premier songwriters, Todd Burge, will also appear on Sunday. The Wood County resident decided that a pandemic was the perfect time to release his latest CD Live in Parkersburg. Recorded at Artsbridge last November in Parkersburg, WV the release features cover art by his 14-year-old daughter Sophia, and songs from his prolific career.

Watch the show live starting at 7pm EST on Sunday, at or, and listen for the national radio broadcast in Spring of 2021.
