The Exponent Telegram reports Morrison started at the food bank in October 2008 as food resource coordinator.
In 2012, he became director of development, primarily working on grants, direct mail and the mobile pantry program, along with the food resourcing.
Morrison has a bachelor’s degree in sociology and anthropology from West Virginia University and earned a master’s degree in sociology in 2012.
Mountaineer Food Bank board president Julie Harris says they believe Morrison is the right person to help lead the food bank’s strategic growth in the future.
The organization is headquartered in Gassaway and supplies food and personal products for people in the state who are in need of emergency assistance.
