WVU Faculty Senate Chair Talks Academic Cuts, Budget Shortfall On This West Virginia Morning

On this West Virginia Morning, West Virginia University announced on Friday the initial recommendations for cuts to academic programs to address an estimated $45 million budget shortfall for fiscal year 2024.

The recommended cuts, which include the complete dissolution of the World Languages Department, are part of a larger transformational process the university has been undergoing for several years. Chris Schulz spoke with Frankie Tack, chair of the Faculty Senate, to learn more.
