W.Va. Hemp Growers Hopeful for Industry's Future

On this West Virginia Morning, Managing Editor of the magazine West Virginia Living Zack Harold discussing his latest article, “High Hopes for a New Cash Crop,” focused on the state’s budding hemp industry.  The article appears in the latest edition of Morgantown Magazine and he joined Ashton Marra to discuss it reporting. 

Following the flooding in June, thousands of volunteers have been involved in recovery efforts in West Virginia. Long term- there will be more need for volunteers to help flood victims repair their homes and their communities. AmeriCorps is just one organization looking at training volunteers to serve flood victims. Roxy Todd, a former AmeriCorps volunteer herself, sat down with the executive director of Volunteer WV, to find out how the recovery is affecting their plans for AmeriCorps programs next year.
