President of Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond to Visit Marshall


The president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond is set to visit Marshall University next week.

Jeffrey Lacker is scheduled to speak Oct. 5 at the Brad D. Smith Foundation Hall in Huntington. A reception will follow.

The event is free and open to the public.

Lacker has been the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond’s president since 2004. The Richmond Fed is one of 12 banks that make up the Federal Reserve System. It serves the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and most of West Virginia.

Among its responsibilities is the gathering and analysis of economic data.
