Our encore broadcast schedule continues this week with west coast Bluegrass music pioneer Laurie Lewis and her band, performing songs from throughout her storied career. As our Song of the Week, we’ve chosen Lewis’ “Trees.”
We also welcomed back Maya de Vitry, whose introspective songs have a charm that must be heard to be believed.
Elsewhere on this episode are Bill and the Belles with a modernized vintage roots sound, Kentucky-born songwriter Tiffany Williams, and the old-time influenced singers, songwriters and instrumentalists known as The Early Mays.
Our Song of the Week comes from rising Americana, fingerstyle and slide guitar star, Cristina Vane. She joined us for her first Mountain Stage appearance and wowed the audience with a collection of songs, including tracks from her third studio album, Hear My Call, which was released in February of this year.
