Ken Burns Reflects on Power of Country Music


This West Virginia Morning, Ken Burns joins us to talk about making the film, “Country Music: A Film by Ken Burns,” the impact it had on him, and what he has come to understand about the power of country music.


A congressional committee will hear testimony this week on the controversial cancellation of a study about the health impacts of mountaintop-removal coal mining. Sydney Boles with the Ohio Valley ReSource reports that the head of that committee may issue subpoenas if the Trump administration is not forthcoming.
