Bright blue and yellow circles, molded and shaped from molten glass in Milton, West Virginia, are quite possibly the most sought-after product in the state right now.
And they’re only available for a few more days.
Between the butterflies and the scripted words “I Will Always Love You,” the suncatchers are classic Dolly Parton, handcrafted by the Blenko Glass Company in the days following her August passing.
“I think it was actually a collective thought. There were people all over our factory thinking ‘We need to do something,'” Blenko’s Toril Lavender said. “And of course, we all love [Dolly Parton’s] Imagination Library, so we decided that we would use some of our glass to do some good.”
More than 6,000 of them have sold already, with proceeds going to the Imagination Library of West Virginia, which mails free, monthly books promoting early literacy and school readiness to children from birth to age five. The donation – which topped more than $85,000 this week – is part of Blenko’s Glass For Good program.

“On a typical Glass For Good, we may sell up to maybe 500. So this is just incredible. And people from all, at least 48 states have purchased some of these sun catchers.
Another $10,000 in sales have come in since that check was processed. Blenko hopes to reach $100,000 before online sales end on Oct. 15.
