The West Virginia State Capitol Complex is ready to roll.
Governor Patrick Morrisey and First Lady Denise Morrisey will host their annual Rhododendron Roll, a family-friendly Easter celebration, on Saturday, March 28 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. between the east and west wings of the Capitol building.
Easter egg hunts begin at noon and are separated into four different age groups: 1-3, 4-6, 7-8 and 9 and up. Children who find golden tickets during the egg hunt will win bikes courtesy of Walmart.
In addition to egg rolls every 15 minutes, there will also be yard games, a rock wall, crafts, a petting zoo, bounce houses, food trucks and more.
The first 500 guests to arrive will receive commemorative Easter eggs.
Following the event, guests are invited to participate in the Hoppin’ Around History Scavenger Hunt located in the State Museum at the Culture Center.
Photos with the Easter Bunny will be available at the Governor’s Mansion courtyard.
