West Virgina bow hunting season opens on Saturday – and with it comes the new Hunters Helping the Hungry (HHH) contest.
Sponsored by the video series Whitetail Frenzy, HHH offers rewards to hunters who donate harvested deer to local families in need.
According to a press release from the office of Governor – and hunting enthusiast – Patrick Morrisey, hunters who harvest a deer can donate it to the HHH program at no cost through a participating meat processor.
Those who do will be automatically entered into a drawing for a grand prize package which includes a trail camera, a compound bow, gift cards and more.
Bow season runs through Dec. 31, and the winner will be announced at the 2027 West Virginia Hunting and Fishing Show coming to Charleston in mid-January.
