Organized by the West Virginia Manufacturers Association, the competition showcases products made in West Virginia. An online, public voting tournament will run for three weeks from Aug. 17 through Sept. 7.
Based on the number of votes, the Top 5 Made in WV Products will be announced on Sept. 21 with the overall winner to be named Oct. 2 – which is National Manufacturing Day.
“If you are a West Virginian, you know the sense of pride that we have for products made here at home,” WVMA President Bill Bissett said. “It is our hope that this contest not only shines a bright light on West Virginia manufacturing, but also creates a sense of pride in our industry. We are interested to see who comes in first place.”
Companies are allowed to nominate their own products, and they can post about the contest – but paid advertising is not allowed.
