This week’s episode of Mountain Stage features country-music sounds of various sources, headlined by hit-makers Buddy Miller & Jim Lauderdale. The songwriting partners and Sirius XM co-hosts play songs from their acclaimed 2013 release “Buddy & Jim.” Also appearing are Abigail & Lilly, The Chapin Sisters, Canadian rancher Corb Lund, Nashville based new-age outlaw Sturgill Simpson and WV-based honky tonk group Blue Yonder (Robert Shafer, John Lilly & Will Carter).

Even though they don’t perform together as often as they once did, singer-songwriter and guitarist Buddy Miller; along with his wife and songwriting partner Julie Miller, are widely regarded as on of the most important duos in Americana and country music. Here they perform “All My Tears,” written by Julie Miller, on this episode of Mountain Stage recorded in December 2001.
