[CHARLESTON, WV] – West Virginia Public Broadcasting (WVPB) announced Tuesday that they have received 4 awards in The 46th Annual Telly Awards.
The Telly Awards honors excellence in video and television across all screens and is judged by leaders from video platforms, television, streaming networks, production companies. This year’s winners include Pixar Animation Studios, Hearst Media, ESPN, LinkedIn, NATO, MTV Entertainment Studios, NASA, the LA Clippers (NBA), Sawhorse Productions, Telemundo and more.
“Recognition for our documentaries shows that the stories of West Virginia are just as captivating and important to those outside the mountain state as they are to those who live here”, said WVPB Director of Video Production, Chris Barnhart. “WVPB is honored to showcase our state’s amazing history and culture and not just repeat the common perceptions of our state, West Virginia is more than just coal mines and the Civil War, and we are motivated to see these stories succeed on a national level.”
