[CHARLESTON, WV] – West Virginia Public Broadcasting (WVPB) announced today that they have received 13 awards in the 31st Annual Communicator Awards.
With thousands of entries received from across the United States and around the globe, The Communicator Awards remains one of the largest and most competitive programs honoring excellence in marketing, communication and creative work. The awards are judged by the Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts (AIVA), an invitation-only body of over 500 industry leaders from top brands and agencies. This year’s Jury included professionals from Google, Accenture Song, Smithsonian, Microsoft, Digitas, JPMorgan Chase & Co., Publicis, Spotify, Johns Hopkins, Critical Mass, Amazon, The Andy Warhol Museum and many more.
WVPB Director of Video Production Chris Barnhart says the team is honored to be recognized for another national level award. “I am proud to be part of such a talented crew,” said Barnhart. “I am especially proud of the range of our winning submissions, covering the diverse facets of West Virginia culture; Wrestling, children’s television, train robberies and the supernatural. Their dedication to West Virginia’s Story can be seen in the quality of the final products they produce as well as the awards they receive.”
