SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) – Hunters can still obtain permits for a limited bear-gun season in 17 counties.
The Division of Natural Resources says a limited number of permits were left over following the first application period earlier this year.
Applications must be submitted to the DNR by Sept. 26.
A bear-gun season without dogs will run Nov. 24 through Dec. 6 concurrent with the state’s buck-gun season.
