This week’s premiere broadcast of Mountain Stage was recorded live at the Canady Creative Arts Center on the campus of West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia.
Host Kathy Mattea welcomed SHADOWLANDS feat. S. Carey and John Raymond, Tae & The Neighborly, Damn Tall Buildings, Erin McKeown, and Ken Yates.
Our Song of the Week comes from Shadowlands, featuring Grammy-nominated trumpeter John Raymond and Bon Iver collaborator S. Carey. The pair performed “New Meaning,” a new track off of their collaborative album, which was released in September of this year. This collaboration showcases Raymond and Carey’s unique blend of indie folk, modern jazz, pop, and atmospheric soundscapes.
