Spokesman Steve Ludwig says the marina can’t afford the cost of upgrades required by a state law passed in 2013.
Ludwig tells The Exponent Telegram that the marina will disconnect 92 electrical boat slips on Dec. 1.
Ludwig says the marina has made electrical upgrades to the bait shop, gas pumps and safety lighting.

The law is named for Michael Cunningham, a 15-year-old Bridgeport High School student who drowned in 2010 after he grabbed a houseboat ladder and received an electrical shock.
