This week’s episode of Mountain Stage was recorded at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in the Terrace Theater in Washington, D.C.

Host Kathy Mattea welcomes legendary American folk music David Bromberg Quintet, Grammy Award winning bluegrass musician Peter Rowan, veteran roots music duo Larry Campbell & Teresa Williams, jam rock super-group The High Hawks, and Nora Brown, who plays old-time traditional music accompanied by fiddler Stephanie Coleman.

Our Song of the Week is by acoustic music icon Peter Rowan, who has been coming to Mountain Stage since 1985 and, at age 80, still sounds amazing.

On this version of “From My Mountain (Calling You),” Rowan is accompanied on fiddle by The High Hawks’ Tim Carbone, who you’ll also hear on this week’s episode.

Tune in to this week’s episode starting Friday, April 14 on these public radio stations. Be sure you’re watching our podcast page for the newest episodes from our Spring season and sign up for email updates to help plan your trip to be a part of a live-show.
