Friends of West Virginia Public Broadcasting Board Nominations

From Martinsburg to Parkersburg, Wheeling to Welch, and communities throughout our state; over 12,500 members help tell West Virginia’s story with their financial support. Some of those members also serve on the Board of Directors for The Friends of West Virginia Public Broadcasting, Inc. 

 

Nominations for open seats are being taken now through April 9, 2018.

Currently, there are openings for ambassadors representing these listening and viewing areas, which are based on transmitter locations:

 

Beckley: 2
Buckhannon: 1
Charleston: 2
Huntington: 1
Martinsburg: 1
Morgantown: 1
Petersburg: 1
Wheeling: 1

 

To be eligible for a Board position, the nominee must be a current member of WVPB and reside in the area where there is an opening. (A list of ZIP codes is at the end of this article.)  

 

Individuals affiliated with the Educational Broadcasting Authority (EBA) or the West Virginia Public Broadcasting Foundation, including but not limited to directors, employees of West Virginia Public Broadcasting, and individuals associated with programming, projects, or productions are ineligible for nomination.
