Downton Abbey Outage

West Virginia Public Broadcasting experienced an television outage Sunday night in the Morgantown area that affected many viewers in the northern part of the state. Unfortunately, it occurred during our most popular show, “Downton Abbey”.

The problem resulted from high winds in the area at the time. They  knocked one of our receiving dishes out of alignment and interrupted the signal to some of our customers.

Episode 1 will be rebroadcast on Sunday January 11 at 6:30pm. You can watch the entire episode through our online video player.

We are so sorry that your viewing was interrupted. We hear your frustration, and we are working to determine what happened, and how to make our TV broadcast infrastructure more resilient.
