EPA Hearings in Pittsburgh, New Coal Dust Regs, Marina Safety Law Delayed and Mountain Stage's 800th

 

  The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is holding hearings in Pittsburgh on planned regulations to limit carbon emissions from coal-fired power plants. Federal regulators are releasing new regulations to close loopholes in the mine inspection process. West Virginia lawmakers expalin why they decided to delay the implementation of a marina inspection law that could save lives and Mountain Stage's 800th show features Dave Mason and his hit "We Just Disagree."

Mountain Stage records 800th show

The Finale from Mountain Stage's 800th show

Mountain Stage, founded in 1983, is celebrating their 30th Anniversary this year. The show recently recorded it's land-mark 800th episode. A capacity crowd at the Clay Center was in attendance to see performances by folk-singer Ani DiFranco, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame member Dave Mason, California rockers Dawes and the high-energy, horn-driven Brooklyn group Red Baraat. WV Public Radio listeners can hear the entire show Sunday November 10 at 2pm.
