There’s a new way to stay in touch with the West Virginia State police.
It’s as easy as accessing your smartphone. The West Virginia State Police now has its own app to allow users to access the state police website, sex offender registry, detachment contact information, pictures and videos among other things.
State police spokesman Sergeant Michael Baylous says the app will be one more way to tell citizens about important alerts.
“This app gives us the ability if we have a silver or amber alert or if we just have want we call a BOLO, a be on the look out for a vehicle or suspects that we have in a crime we can send that information out.”
The West Virginia State police app is available at iStore for Apple and the Google play store for Android for free.
