Drive-By Truckers Return to Mountain Stage This Sunday

Oct 3, 2017

Mountain Stage will record episode #907 this Sunday.

Renowned rock and roll band Drive-By Truckers will make their third appearance on Mountain Stage with Larry Groce this Sunday, October 8, at The Clay Center in Charleston, WV. Showtime is 7p.m. The band is touring behind their latest ATO release “American Band,” which finds them at their most topical, yet delivering with the familiar sound the band is known for. The show will feature plenty of international flair, as three of the five guests on the show have roots in other countries; Australia’s Paul Kelly, Norway’s Daniel Norgren, and British-born songwriter, now living in New York, James Maddock. Jessica Lea Mayfield, whose new album “Sorry Is Gone” was released last month, rounds out the bill. Sample some of the artists' latest material below.

Tickets are $25 and $35 in advance, $30 and $40 Day of Show. Tickets can be purchased online at tickets.claycenter.org, by phone at 304.561.3570, or by stopping by the Clay Center Box Office, 1 Clay Square, during regular business hours. All the details are here.

This episode will be recorded for broadcast later this fall via NPR Music. A complete list of stations and air-times can be found here.
